Meet The Nutrition Tank Founder and Lead Nutritionist, Jocie Espinoza.
Hiring a personal trainer in 2005, Jocie was introduced to the health and wellness industry as a client. Her trainer became a mentor, helping her achieve her goals and inspiring her to explore the industry as a career option for herself. Having just finished a degree in Fashion Communications and not really knowing where this would take her, Jocie traveled and explored parts of the world and ended up in Miami, working on a two year contract. In the meantime, her love for fitness and health grew and she began taking on a small number of personal training clients in her condo gym. Returning to Toronto a couple years later, she became a Certified Personal Trainer and has continued to work with a diverse clientele in the city since.
Wanting to know more about the other side of the health equation, Jocie was accepted into Ryerson University’s Nutrition and Food program, completing her degree in 2014. To support her degree, she completed Precision Nutrition’s Exercise Nutrition Program. Jocie’s background is diverse; having experience in the independent school system for the past 7 years, as the Wellness Coordinator at an all girls school, her fitness and nutrition programming has wide reach that is comprehensive, reliable and efficient. She has had the opportunity to develop programming for NHL players, Olympic level weightlifters and dancers from The National Ballet of Canada.
